"No Words Can Reach It" by Fingerless
Brisbane, Australia's Fingerless "have been sitting down at the banquet since 2009, sampling small places of acid-folk in oyster sauce, deep-fried rock 'n' roll, steamy soundscapes, dried and salted neo-psychedelia and fresh electronica". Well, grab a clean plate for their latest serving, "a heady mix of distorted, cheap keyboards, chirping synths, smooth and hypnotic vocals and big woozy beats".
Twisted and wrung out, "No Words Can Reach It" is at the other side of the banquet from the group's March 2024 single "Yes Today". Also released by 4000 Records, "Yes Today" is a more straight-ahead guitar-driven tune that sounds a bit like Ian McCulloch backed by Crazy Horse. Sorry, Neil, but Marc Cheeseman ain't so bad with yer band!
"No Words Can Reach It" is the first single from Fingerless' forthcoming album And The Forests of Signs. The album is a love letter to classic video game soundtracks and soundscapes.
"No Words Can Reach It" is officially released on 23 May and available digitally on Bandcamp... you can pre-save on your preferred platform here.
